A British Summer Wedding With An Oriental Twist
This July we worked with a wonderful bride and groom to be on their big day at Kimberley Hall, Norfolk.
We worked closely with Nina (now bride) on creating a style scheme which combined her love for rich fuchsia pinks, deep burgundy, reds and golds with traditional Vietnamese culture, whilst also ensuring the overall aesthetic had a modern twist.
Below are some before (and during) photos of ourselves and DECK transforming The West Wing at Kimberley Hall.
A stretch tent (by Lunar) was erected in the gardens to seat over 200 guests for the wedding breakfast which was adorned with splashes of pink throughout- fuchsia napkins, soft pink candles, beautiful flower arrangements by Ivy Floral Events and traditional silk Vietnamese lanterns. Each of the guests received a beautiful set of bespoke personalised wooden chopsticks as their favour.
The signage and stationary was created by the awesome Sam Wood and featured simple white text hand drawn on clear perspex hung on copper frames with floral detailing..
In the West Wing (situated inside) we wanted to ensure there was quite a different feel to the outside areas- this was the PARTY room in which guests would head over to after their food and tea ceremony to unwind and dance together until the early hours.
We built two large scale balloon installations with DECK using giant metallic gold cloud balloons with pale pinks and burgundies, introduced gold candelabras on the evening tables and created pink glows throughout with a bespoke neon sign behind the cake table and up-lighters to really give that party feel.
We wish the happy couple all the very best and if you’re thinking of taking the stress off your own big day then get in touch- we offer everything from full wedding planning to styling, pop-up bars and on the day co-ordination.
